Finding ways to "green" your life might seem intimidating, but there are a number of things you can do right away that will reduce your family's carbon and waste footprints, and may even save a few dollars in your wallet.

Turn off the lights, TVs, etc. in rooms you are not using

Program your thermostat to save on energy usage when you are not in the house
