  • Replace incandescent light bulbs with LED bulbs

  • Turn off computers and laptops when not in use

  • Unplug electrical devices when not in use

  • Program your thermostat to save on energy usage when you are not in the house

  • Be mindful of your water usage, and when replacing faucets or shower-heads, choose slower flow models

  • Turn down the temperature on your water heater

  • Walk or ride your bike instead of driving to nearby destinations

  • Carpool - it drastically reduces CO2 emissions

  • Avoid speeding and unnecessary acceleration - it will save gas, money and make the roads safer

  • Take public transportation instead of your car

  • Eat locally-produced, organic food

  • Try reducing your meat consumption - it takes a lot of resources to raise animals for consumption - even one day a week makes a big difference
